Pastor Thanks God for Live Saving Emergency Aid During COVID Crisis

06/05/2021 India (International Christian Concern) – “I was not in a position to purchase food and feed my family,” Pastor Yesu Ratnam recently said to International Christian Concern (ICC), who serves as a church planter in the state of Telangana. When the pandemic forced his church to shut down, he lost his only source of income to support his family.

ICC provided rural church planters with two months of food during the first and second waves of COVID-19. Unfortunately, the massive third wave of infections and deaths continue to cripple and leave low-income families at risk of starvation. ICC field staff identified several of the most at-risk families. Among them was Pastor Ratnam.

If it were not for this help from ICC, I cannot think of how we would have survived. Before ICC, I was sick to my stomach thinking about feeding my family and moving forward,” Pastor Ratnam told ICC when implementation was complete.

Part of the emergency food aid included rice, flour, sugar and cooking oil, and other housing items. “I am so happy that I am cared for and remembered in this round of relief. I have been waiting and praying earnestly. I thank God for His provision. May God bless you, ICC.”

Please continue to pray for pastors in India who do not have equal access to food and resources. Pray, too, that Pastor Ratnam can find an alternate source of income until his church can reopen.
