ICC Provides Educational Assistance in Nigeria

01/13/2020 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – In September 2018, a Christian family of 12 was gathered for dinner in central Nigeria. Suddenly, gunmen stormed into the home and opened fire on the family. Ten of the family members were killed instantly.

Despite gunshot wounds to the neck and shoulder, Blessing miraculously survived. Although she passed out due to the injuries, she was able to crawl to a nearby bedroom and hide when she regained consciousness.

At the time of the attack, Blessing was a second-year university student. With the emotional trauma and financial loss of losing 10 family members, tuition costs seemed insurmountable. ICC stepped in to assist with the costs of tuition, living accommodations, bedding, food, and more.

Upon receiving these gifts, Blessing shared, “It has been very helpful. I am short of words to express this… It is encouraging me in my faith in Christ…It encourages me to know that God is indeed real. I am looking forward to being able to help others in the future. I am so thankful. I pray that God rewards the donors and replenishes the source from where this assistance came.”
