Some Methodists challenge as Bush campus library takes shape

Architects are designing the George W. Bush Presidential Library at Southern Methodist University, but Methodists who opposed the 43rd president of the United States over the Iraq war, and some staff members, are resisting the siting of the library on the institute's Dallas, Texas campus, reports Ecumenical News International. Trustees at the private United Methodist-related university voted unanimously on 22 February to house the presidential library, despite objections from some United Methodists and alumni of the university. Bush's wife, the first lady, Laura Bush is also one of the university's alumni.
