EU economic crisis opens doors for marketplace missions

The eurozone's debt crisis hangs like a dark cloud over Europe's economic prospects. It's uncertain whether or not the continent's slow recovery from its worst recession since the 1940's will be blown off course. As the uncertainty grows, Christians believe this period could be a great time for using business as mission, reports MNN.

That's why Christian business leaders from North America and Europe are meeting today for what's being called INTERSECT 2010. It's bringing together business professionals from around the globe to discuss how to use the marketplace to make Christ known and to grow His Kingdom in Bulgaria and beyond.

The conference is spearheaded by Greater Europe Mission and other like-minded ministries to focus especially on the needs of the Bulgarian small business owner who is seeking to become more effective in both business and marketplace ministry.

The two-day conference is actually a business forum with interactive workshops that will help Christian business leaders write an effective business and ministry plan, financial planning, marketing strategies, company growth, and how profit and Kingdom goals can coexist.
