Former rock bass guitarist wants to bring revival to Britain
Former rock bass guitarist Alex Bowler has the vision to see the stadiums of Britain filled with people hearing the gospel of Christ, reports Alex Bowler Evangelistic Association.
Alex, the leader of the Alex Bowler Evangelistic Association (ABEA), received the call to preach the gospel on the night of his conversion at Crystal Palace stadium in 1989 during the Billy Graham Life Mission. He says: " As I stood in front of the platform in the stadium I watched as Dr. Graham scanned the crowd. God spoke into my heart as Billy Graham looked at me and He told me that I was to preach in the stadiums of the world for His glory. At the end of the meeting I stood staring at the podium as the sun was setting and I prayed, " Lord, please use me in that way."
Alex, who currently undertakes evangelistic crusades in cities in Africa, has the personal support of Maurice Rowlandson, who was the British Director of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for 45 years and his testimony has been included in two of Maurices's books.
Alex continues: "Several years ago I felt God speaking into my heart as I was travelling on the London Underground and I believe that He gave me the vision for a second 'Harringay Crusade!" How wonderful it would be to see a large venue, like Earl's Court, filled night after night for twelve weeks with people hearing the gospel of Christ! With God all things are possible!”
