EU parliament supported New Life church in Minsk

The European parliament has supported the New Life church in Minsk and voted for the right of the church to operate freely, reports New Life church press center.

Such formulation has been used concerning religious activity of a community in 15 point of the resolution on Belarus which was accepted by the European parliament on December, 17th, 2009.

According to the resolution, in order to reach complete removal of sanctions and to keep good conditions for fruitful cooperation between the European Union and Belarus it is expected that the Belarus authorities bring obvious and significant progress in the issue of democratization of society during the following year of 2010.

The European Parliament authorized the Chairman to direct the resolution to European Commission Council, to parliaments and the governments of member states, to the Secretary General of the United Nations, to OSCE and the Council of Europe, to the secretariat of the Commonwealth of the Independent States, and to the parliament and the government of Belarus.
