Douglas Shaw & Associates was awarded for its service

A full-service fund raising and communications agency, serving national and international nonprofit organizations and ministries, has won the 2008 Outstanding Stewardship Service Provider Award from the Christian Stewardship Association (CSA), reports Michael Ireland, chief correspondent, ASSIST News Service.

The award was presented to Douglas Shaw, chairman of Douglas Shaw & Associates Inc. (DSA), at CSA's annual conference in Albuquerque.

CSA's mission "is to influence the world for Jesus Christ by equipping Christian leaders with an understanding of biblical stewardship through education, research, resources and networking activities."

The organization's awards program acknowledges individuals and ministries that exemplify their commitment to biblical stewardship. The award won by DSA is given annually to an organization whose focus is helping ministry members implement biblical stewardship practices within their ministries.

"DSA has a reputation for being donor-focused, service-oriented and results-driven, as well as a servant's heart, a strategic mind and a creative eye," said Ned Kiser, CSA chairman of the board, in presenting the award.

"We are extremely honored to be cited for this highly prestigious award," said Shaw. "We do endeavor to be donor-focused and to operate on a highly ethical plane. For others to note our efforts and reward us for our service humbles us and makes us determined to strive for excellence in even greater ways in the future."
