Prosecutor’s office preferred charges against pastor in Minsk
On February, 19th, pastor Slava Goncharenko together with lawyer Sergey Lukanin paid sequent visit to the Prosecutor’s office of the Moskovsky district of Minsk, where he was invited by the notice, reports New Life church press centre.
Deputy prosecutor of the district Dmitry Zyryanov handed Slava Goncharenko a statement of the case of administrative offence according to 23.1 clause of the Administrative Code of Belarus. This clause provides for the fine in amount of 20 basic values (700 000 belarusian roubles or about US$ 327).
According to the deputy prosecutor the offence of the pastor consists of his refuse to follow the previously given order that requires to give the representatives of the Emergency Ministries free entrance into the building.
Pastor wrote on the notice that he does not considers himself guilty, because he is confident that all the inspections of the church are the form of pressure organized by the Minsk city executive committee. These actions can be regarded as an «Obstacles to the activities of religious organization» according to the 195 clause of the Criminal Code of Belarus. Slava Goncharenko said that he refuses to obey the illegal requests.
