French Protestants to gather in Strasbourg to mark Reformation

About 10 000 Protestants from throughout France are to converge on the city of Strasbourg in Alsace, on the Franco-German border, for a convention that marks Reformation day, 31 October, reports Ecumenical News International.

The gathering from 30 October to 1 November called "Protestants en Fete" (Protestants Celebrate) is organized by the Protestant Federation of France and is the first event of its kind in France.

"The convention is open to all the strands of Protestantism and not just those that are members of the federation," said the FPF president, Claude Baty.
