Wycliffe Bible Translators is recruiting prayer partners

There are more than 6,900 language groups in the world today. Of these, over 2,200 languages are still without a Bible translation program started. Wycliffe Bible Translators would like to see that change with their Vision 2025 campaign. However, they're asking you to pray about it, reports MNN.

Wycliffe has an ambitious goal to see Bible translation started in the remaining languages currently without any kind of Scripture.

Because it is so ambitious, they need prayer warriors. Wycliffe Bible Translators has established 'Pray.' It's an interactive Web site that's allowing people all over the world to pray for people who don't currently have God's Word.

The Web site features daily prayer requests from around the world; a Bibleless People Prayer Project for specific groups of people without God's Word in their own language; a newsletter called "Intercessor" that highlights prayer requests for worldwide work of Bible translation; "The Finish Line" -- a program designed to focus on Scripture translation projects within three years of completion; and Missionary Pray Teams, allowing individuals to pray for those who are actually doing the work.

With a large number of people retiring from Bible translation, prayer is especially needed for more workers to take on this huge task of Bible translation.
