Belarusian TV Company gave its answer to the church

On February, 12 at the address of the Union of Full-Gospel Christians there was received a letter from the National State Television-radio company of Belarus as a response to the appeal of the Belarusian bishops, reports New Life church press centre.

To remind, on January, 15 the leaders of the Protestant denominations sent a letter to the Head of the Presidential Administration Gennady Nevyglas and the Assignee of the religions and nationalities affairs Leonid Gulyako calling to stop the mass-media advertising of various occult services of extrasensory individuals, astrologists and taro-masters.

In the letter the chairman of the Belarusian TV-radio company Alexander Zimovsky has noted that «decision on putting each advertising out is taken only after advertiser has provided all necessary documents confirming that the adverting met the legal requirements. The advertising of the services mentioned in your appeal is meeting the named requirements. In this connection Belarusian TV-radio company doesn’t have legal ground to refuse in putting out advertising of the services not prohibited by legislation».
