Ukraine President will support Ukrainian Christians in Russia

On 13 February, 2008, during his official visit to the Russian Federation, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in the Russian Federation. The meeting was held in Moscow at the Ukrainian Cultural Center. During his address to those present, the Head of the State stressed that he “will spare neither money nor efforts” to increase the provision of all necessary support to meet the national, cultural and spiritual needs of Ukrainians in Russia, reports RISU.

According to a report by the President’s press service, Victor Yushchenko mentioned significant projects to be implemented in Moscow, including establishing a Ukrainian school, theater, and organizing various cultural events. He also assured the Ukrainian community that its concerns will always be a priority for Ukrainian authorities.
