Media head warns of 'bogus' Catholic Internet sites

Roman Catholic media experts have warned of an increase in Internet Web sites claiming to present views that are not genuinely Catholic, and have urged bishops to ensure their teachings are properly presented.

"There is growing concern that so many sites are presenting themselves as Catholic, when they are really far from the mainstream," said Jim McDonnell, development director of Signis, a Catholic media federation.
