Israel to issue stamps for May visit of Pope Benedict

Israel has said it will issues stamps honouring Pope Benedict XVI's four-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land in May, reports Ecumenical News International.

The country's postal service said the stamps will be part of a special series that will feature churches and images of other Christian holy sites in Israel.

Benedict is due to arrive in Israel on 11 May for his first visit to the Holy Land as pontiff.
