Ruling party deputy in Ukraine wants to see Sunday Adelaja deported
“I have placed a deputy’s inquiry with the Security Service of Ukraine and Ministry of Internal Affairs as to the activity of Sunday Adelaja [Minister of the Embassy of God Church in Kyiv], as I think his church represents not a religion, but a sect. And this sect is hostile to our conscience, culture, mentality, traditions,” stated Kyrylo Kulykov, deputy of Our Ukraine-National Self-Defense party in an interview with “Hlavred”, reports RISU.
«I think that the people’s conscience is simply being doped. I received a large number of statements from citizens saying that some people were sent to some medical institutions to undergo treatment by force, others struck their names off tenants’ lists, others were forced to sell property, etc. It is our country, we should defend our space and our people. If such a person, a foreign citizen, is a nuisance, even though he seems to have committed no crime in Ukraine but his presence on the territory of Ukraine is undesirable, a procedure of deportation could be applied. Therefore, I insist upon making application for this procedure in relation to Adelaja – for his activity and the activity of his sect does harm to the state, considerable harm,” said Kulykov
The deputy stressed that this conclusion should be officially reached by the Security Service of Ukraine.
“There existed a science called “special propaganda” in the Soviet Union in the past. In America, it is quite a serious science, it is used in all theaters of military operations and is called psychological warfare. What the Embassy of God brings with it is, according to all canons, a 100% psychological war, psychological manipulation of conscience, and this has nothing to do with any religion, any confession. The activity of the sect is built on neuro-linguistic theory and influence on the subconscious level, affecting some low aspects of the human conscience and not on the conscious level at all. Whereas religion is rooted in the soul, conscience, mind and heart. But it is known that psychological warfare is waged against the troops and population of the enemy, whereas in our case . . . .” the deputy’s voice trailed off.
”I do not know how this can exist in the cradle of Christianity?! Ukraine is an independent country and, besides the fact that we should defend our borders and our air space, we should also defend the minds and souls of our people,” stated the deputy.
