Rick Renner ministers at U.S. Ministers' conference

Pastor Rick Renner began his 2008 U.S. ministry schedule by ministering at the Kenneth Copeland Ministers' Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, reports Rick Renner Ministries. His chosen theme was "Cast Your Cares Upon the Lord, for He Cares for You."

The ministers were riveted by Rick's powerful exposition of the word "casting." He explained that the Greek word projects the picture of a person carrying a load that is too heavy to bear and who therefore calls for a beast of burden to help. The burden is then rolled over onto the beast to carry, releasing the person completely from its heavy weight. Men and women throughout the congregation were moved as they gained a greater revelation of the grace of our Savior who willingly comes to walk with us and carry our burdens for us.

Rick's teaching was made particularly rich when he shared his own past struggles with worry in his own unique and humorous way. The audience laughed as they identified with the various challenges that Rick faced in the ministry and his own internal struggles with worry. They also rejoiced together with renewed hope as they listened to Rick share how he had personally gained victory over worry.

The entire conference centered around a theme concerning the gap that believers sometimes grapple with between the divine inheritance Jesus purchased for them and how little of that inheritance they actually experience in real life. Speaker after speaker shared about the struggles they have faced internally and the keys they have learned to keep from losing hope and becoming discouraged.

The conference was a wonderful time of celebrating together the finished work of Christ and the ongoing work of the Spirit and of encouraging ministers not to grow discouraged in the process of walking out their faith. Rick considered it an honor to be one of the guest speakers and to have the opportunity to minister to such an esteemed group of ministers.
