Local missionary gives update on persecution in India
The persecution against Christians in India is still continuing with the unceasing force, Christian Telegraph reports. We contacted a local missionary in India to get some update on what is going on.
“We are not able to communicate well with the people as the government has restricted access to certain camps,” says he. “Regardless the government is doing very little to help them and are preventing outside agencies to help the people also. Due to the sensitivity of this issue, they are covering up the matters and if we ask any questions, they are saying it is being investigated. So, we are only praying for the people who are suffering because of this.”
“Soon, we will be going there and getting help to rebuild the churches that have been destroyed. To depend on the government to bring justice would be a waste but the Lord has not forgotten the people who believe in Him. Our sincere prayer is that the persecutors eyes may be opened to see the Lord Jesus crucified for their sins. It will be worth it all.”
As Christian Telegraph reported earlier radical militant Hindus have violently attacked Christians in India’s state of Orissa. Some Christian converts victimized by extremist Hindu attacks are now being forced to return to Hinduism and attack their Christian churches. The attacks on Christians have already spread to some other states of India.
