Good News Church women plan to visit orphans in Russia
This January, the Women's Ministry Team in Moscow, led by Denise Renner, will make a follow-up visit to a remote and underprivileged orphanage located about six hours from Volgograd, Russia, reports Rick Renner Ministries. The ministerial team first visited this facility last June during a mission trip to this city, and they were struck by its extremely impoverished condition. Upon returning from their initial trip, every woman was filled with a burning desire to do something special for these children and to improve the facility.
Recognizing the children's pressing need for better clothes, the women's team organized and collected used clothing in good condition from the members of the Moscow Good News Church. By the end of this drive, they had accumulated nearly 100 very large boxes full of outfits for the kids -- all of which will be delivered to the orphanage on the follow-up trip.
This orphanage also doesn't have indoor plumbing. In the summer, the children wash themselves in a nearby stream, and year round they must use an outhouse. However, it is the goal of Denise and her women's team to bless these boys and girls by providing them with modern plumbing and running water.
This team of dedicated women is still working with the local health department to accomplish this project and fulfill this very significant need. Please pray for the MGNC Women's Ministry that they might find favor with the authorities and develop a concrete plan to facilitate this project.
