A U.S. Christian ethicist, whose work has focused on reconciliation, forgiveness and historical memory, has won the Grawemeyer Award in Religion, one of the most prestigious religious prizes in the United States, reports Ecumenical News International. Donald W. Shriver Jr, a former president of Union Theological Seminary in New York City, has received the honour early in December. It comes with a US$200 000 prize, for his book "Honest Patriots: Loving a Country Enough to Remember its Misdeeds".
