Good News Church held ministers' conference in Russia
On December 8-10, pastors throughout the Russian Far East gathered in Vladivostok for the Good News Association's annual Far East conference. More than 120 pastors attended these services, some traveling three days by train to reach their destination. This particular conference featured teaching from Rick Renner, Nikolai Kulakevich, Sergei Bagretsov, and special guest Frank Santora, reports Rick Renner Ministries.
Each minister taught with his own unique insight and revelation, and the attending pastors were blessed with the diverse range of topics. At the first meeting, Frank Santora -- the senior pastor of Faith Church in New Milford, Connecticut -- opened with a message from Psalm 22, describing six major challenges that ministers face. In later sessions, Pastor Santora also dealt with specific lessons he had learned through his own ministry experience. Rick Renner shared about communication and conflict resolution among staff members, and Association Director Sergei Bagretsov discussed the relationship between church and government in Russia.
Many aspects of this conference were made possible by the support of the local Christian community. The services were held in a theater in Vladivostok that a faithful partner of the ministry generously provided, along with the food. Local churches also supplied the worship team, ushers, and assistants.
The purpose of the Far East Association Conferences is to bring training and teaching specifically to people who have devoted their lives to ministry. The events bring together ministers with similar experiences and backgrounds and are designed to foster unity and cooperation, thus strengthening the Church as a whole. Many pastors have reported that God has spoken to them during these meetings, as well as through the monthly teaching letters that the Association sends out to its members. Members often tell us that the words of encouragement or instruction they received from an Association conference ministered directly to their immediate needs.
At the conclusion of the conference, the Holy Spirit used Pastor Santora to minister through prayer and the word of knowledge as he laid hands on pastors and allowed the power of God to touch their hearts.
