In 2006, the Moscow Good News Church began a program to help people learn about the healing power of God. The Healing School program initially had as its goal that people would get filled with faith and receive the healing they needed in their lives. This program has been so successful that today, most of the people who come to Healing School are not people who need healing, but those who want to be taught how to be used by God to minister healing to others, reports Rick Renner Ministries.
The Healing School meets twice a month at the Good News Church office. Church Administrator Alexander Prusov leads this group of more than 40 people, and together the group explores what God's Word teaches about healing. People from all walks of life attend. One regular attendee is a doctor working in an oncology clinic. She regularly shares what she has learned in Healing School with her patients, telling them that Jesus paid for their healing on the Cross.
At the last Healing School meeting, Jane Blume shared about the importance of coming "face to face" with Jesus. Examining Jesus' healing miracles in the gospels, she shared how those whom Jesus healed were the ones who drew near and directly connected with Him. In some cases, people were healed because someone interceded for them with Jesus - but someone's personal connection with Christ was always a factor. Anastasia Akamedieva, daughter of a pastor in the city of Vladimir, also shared with the group how Jesus had healed her after all the doctors she consulted were mystified by her condition and at a loss to know how to treat her. Once she came to fully rely on Jesus, her condition gradually improved, and she went from bedridden to fully restored by the power of Christ.
