New Zealand’s secret agenda for social engineering

This year’s general election marks a crisis in our nation’s history. Under a Labour led government our nation has endured for the previous nine years, unprecedented social engineering that has damaged the moral fibre of our society. The community is warned that the election of a Labour, Greens coalition government could unveil a further round of damaging social engineering. This could further threaten the lives of unborn children, the elderly and the place of marriage in our society, reports Ken Orr, Right to Life New Zealand Inc.

The first attack could be on the unborn child.

Following the recent decriminalisation of abortion by a Labour government in the state of Victoria in Australia, it is expected that the government will introduce legislation recommended by the Abortion Supervisory Committee in February 2000 to decriminalise abortion. This would take abortion out of the Crimes Act; it would no longer be a crime to kill an unborn child. A woman would then be able to have an abortion for any reason. The question of abortion would then be one for a woman and her doctor. The state has a fundamental duty to protect the lives and the human rights of unborn children, its future citizens who are the weakest and most defenceless members of the human family.

The second attack could be on the elderly and the seriously ill.

The Prime Minister supports euthanasia and may support legislation that would give doctors the legal right to kill their patients or to assist in their suicide. She has said terminally ill people had “the right to choose but legislation needs to be very carefully framed to make sure it cannot be abused by others,” Euthanasia would be an unwise and dangerous public policy; it would present a threat to all citizens especially the weak, the very sick, the psychologically vulnerable and those with major disabilities. Many who do not want to die would die.

The third attack could be against the institution of marriage.

The institution of marriage is exclusively confined to one woman and one man; it is the foundation stone of a civilised and stable society. Jeanette Fitzsimons, the leader of the Greens Party stated on 20th October, “As a specific Green Party policy, we state that rainbow and heterosexual partnerships are equally entitled to respect and support. We support the extension of all legal partnership arrangements and rights to same – sex couples.” The Greens therefore support legislation to provide for same sex marriage.

These threats to the unborn, the elderly, and to the family should be strenuously resisted. The community have a right to know what the government’s agenda is on these important issues to enable citizens to vote to uphold the common good and oppose a culture of death. With the general election on the 8th November, Right to Life requests that the government urgently informs the community, of its intentions on these election issues.
