Services in English to begin at Moscow Good News Church
God has blessed Rick Renner with a wonderful teaching ministry, and because of that, Moscow Good News Church is well known for Pastor Rick's insightful teaching and his ability to translate from the Greek language to provide fresh revelation from God's Word. Now MGNC will be distinguished as one of the few churches in Moscow where the pastor preaches a service in English, reports Rick Renner Ministries.
More than 24,000 Americans, in addition to many other English-speaking people from around the world, live in the city of Moscow. Many of the English-speaking community in Moscow are there as businesspeople or students, and do not plan to remain in Moscow permanently. But while they are there, they need a place of worship where they can fellowship with other believers that they can pray with and minister to as they build one another up in faith.
Pastor Rick and his staff desire to reach these people with God's Word and then provide a place for them to worship and hear Bible teaching in their native language. So beginning November 2, the church will hold an all-English language service each Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Pastor Rick will teach an in-depth Bible study in English. Denise Renner will lead the praise-and-worship portion of the service in English.
Additionally, Mr. Randall Richards and his family are preparing to move to Moscow, where Pastor Randall will assume the role of music director. Bob and Katherine Dickerson will oversee the pastoral care and prayer ministries for the English-language service. Mr. Terry Young, international ministry director for MGNC, will serve as assistant pastor.
God has given Pastor Rick to MGNC as an outstanding pastor who is perfectly equipped to feed the congregation God has entrusted to him, including its English-speaking members! Many of the English-speaking staff have had a burning desire in their hearts for some time to minister to this community of people. Now, this outreach is finally becoming a reality, and preparations are well underway as ushers, counselors, altar-care workers, musicians, and children's ministry workers are being trained to make this new service one of excellence and anointed ministry.
The new service will be held in a rented auditorium the church already uses for other ministry meetings. God has provided the opportunity and the resources, and Pastor Rick and his staff are taking a bold step toward reaching the English-speaking community in Moscow.
