Dynamic Mission does great work in the Philippines and in Myanmar
For a ministry like Dynamic Mission, it has been a success story all the way, with its recent incursion into the Buddhist nation of Myanmar in Southeast Asia, reports Success Kanayo Uchime, special to ASSIST News Service.
Their mission work actually started in Mindanao, Southern Philippines, located in the same Southeast Asia four years ago like the biblical mustard seed that later became a great tree, with birds of the air nesting on it.
Recounting those days of little beginning, its founder and president, Johan Anderson who also works alongside his wife Marielle said: “It all started about four years ago, and we were newly wedded couple then desiring to tell the world about Jesus, especially the unreached people groups.”
He further said: “After receiving a call from God to go to South East Asia, we packed our bags and moved to the Philippines. We knew very little about what where ahead of us, but we decided to step out in faith. After awhile, we ended up in the jungles of Mindanao, a small tribal village. We lived with them, ate their food and adapted to their way of life.”
According to the Andersons, who are Swedish by origin, the people quickly accepted them and they started to share the gospel with them. “Signs and wonders confirmed the gospel; people were saved, delivered and also filled with the Holy Spirit.”
This magnificent breakthrough that accompanied their ministry in the Philippines, thereby led to the establishment of indigenous churches wherever they preached the gospel, and leaders from the villages were trained and then appointed to lead the churches.
At present these churches are spreading the gospel to their regions beyond and are planting new churches. “Together with them, we have established a training school where workers and leaders for the new daughter churches are being trained. What started out as one church planted in a small village, have multiplied and become a movement! When all this happened, we said to ourselves: ?Let’s do this in more places!’”
Then the Andersons, in obedience to the Holy Spirit, moved to the region beyond Philippine and are now in Myanmar (former Burma), replicating what they did in the Philippines, that at present they’ve been able to train many leaders that are now out in ministry.
“We have also sent out native missionaries to plant churches in two of Myanmar’s key cities. Together with our local partners, we also run a bible school in Myanmar where we are training future workers for the harvest. Through our native workers both in the Philippines and in Myanmar, hundreds of people have received Christ and local churches are being planted. God’s power works through them to heal the sick and deliver the oppressed!”
Dynamic Mission is a ministry with a special focus on the unreached people groups of the world, with their vision as, to preach the gospel and plant churches among the least reached, through native leaders.
