Singer/songwriter Eva Kroon Pike has taken her Christmas Revolution Tour across her home state of Florida to North Carolina this holiday season, reports McCain & Co. Public Relations.
"I love Christmas and the season of celebrating the birth of our risen Savior, Jesus!!!" says Pike. "It's been a whirlwind of Christmas concerts, sharing testimonies, parties, shopping and traveling. And best of all, sharing love with others through music! "
The tour, which took Pike from Miami to Burnsville, N.C., was inspired by Pike's new radio single, "Christmas Revolution." The song, which was inspired by Pike's desire to refocus on the true meaning of Christmas, juxtaposes joyous, bouncy and encouraging lyrics against a military drum roll to create a unique take on the song's revolutionary theme. The martial musical underpinning forms a firm foundation for layer upon layer of shimmering pop instrumentation, and serves to heighten Pike's pristine vocals as she encourages listeners to "Start a Christmas revolution/ where a baby is a king/ where hope can conquer anything!"
"'Christmas Revolution' is by far one of my favorite songs we've written," says Pike. "We've allowed Christmas to become commercialized...the focus is on Santa and presents instead of the true meaning--our King came in the form of a tiny baby to conquer this world and give of himself sacrificially to save us from our sins! So many times we as Christians have sat back and allowed the world to take Christ out of Christmas...I think it's time to say 'enough is enough' and start a 'Christmas Revolution!'"
Pike co-wrote the song with her producer, Koch, who has written more than 35 No. 1 songs during his career. He is a multiple Dove Award winner, including winning a Dove Award for Song of the Year in 1994 for "In Christ Alone." Koch's songs have been recorded by the likes of Avalon, Donny Osmond, Michael Crawford, Brian Littrell (Backstreet Boys), and Phillips, Craig and Dean.
The single is being promoted by A-Sides Radio Promotion.
"Eva's new single is not the typical Christmas song you hear," says Jeff McLaughlin, president of A-Sides Radio Promotion. "It's an original and an incredible radio song with a great message...it is time to start a 'Christmas Revolution!'"
Pike's current CD is Love is All About You. For more information about "Christmas Revolution," Love Is All About You and Pike, visit evakroonpike.com. To contact McLaughlin and A-Sides Radio Promotion, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
About Eva Kroon Pike:
"Music is my passion," says Eva Kroon Pike, who has been singing since age 3 and also plays the flute, guitar and keyboard. During her career, Pike has performed in front of thousands of people and has shared the stage with the likes of Anne Graham Lotz, Mark Harris, Babbie Mason and Third Day. Pike's ministry, she says, is about "spreading the
Gospel, one song at a time." Pike believes that God has a plan for her life and that He chose, through her adoption as an infant, a very special family for her to grow up in to learn life's lessons. Her heart's desire is to point people to her loving Father who sent His Son to die so that everyone who believes in Him will live eternally. Pike focuses on the theme of adoption in her song, "Grace That Chose Me," in which she sings, "If I'm anything close to what I'm meant to be, I owe it to the hands of Grace that chose me."
Pike's current EP, Love Is All About You, produced by six-time Dove Award winning producer and songwriter Don Koch (producer for Avalon, 4HIM, and many others; songwriter credits include classics "In Christ Alone," "Adonai" and "Mercy Said No"), was released in 2013. It is the singer/songwriter's fourth recording project. Her current singles are "Born To Run" and "Christmas Revolution."
Pike's current video, "Grace That Chose Me," is airing at UP TV (formerly Gospel Music Channel) and has been featured at various events, including the Florida Baptist Convention. Pike, who has experienced firsthand the blessings of being adopted into a loving Christian home, is an outspoken advocate for adoption. She has partnered with the Florida Baptist Children's Home, a Christ-centered organization that provides services for abused, neglected, and orphaned children, where she helps to promote the organization's adoption and other ministry services to hurting children and families.
Pike and her husband, Jonny, live in Central Florida with their two young sons. For more information about Pike, visit evakroonpike.com.
