Christian orphanage “Sails of Hope” oped after restoration
The children's Christian orphanage “Sails of Hope” in Slavyansk, Donetsk region was open after reconstruction on December 6. This was said by Peter Dudnik, the head of the orphanage, reports The Christian Telegraph.
Volunteers from different cities of Ukraine, as well as from other countries, including the US, the Czech Republic, and Russia worked on the restoration of the orphanage. “The team of volunteer-artists from Ukraine and Russia (St. Petersburg) painted two playrooms,” noted the Facebook page of the group “Restore ‘Sails of Hope’.”
Recall, that the shelter “Sails of Hope” was partially destroyed during the fighting when Slavyansk was under the control of pro-Russian militants. They used the orphanage as a firing point for shooting at the Ukrainian military. In response, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the pro-Russian militants.
