Kenyan Anglicans to boycott Lambeth, HK primate urges dialogue

The Anglican Church of Kenya is to boycott the 2008 Lambeth Conference of Anglican bishops from around the world in a dispute about homosexuality, its leader Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi has announced in Nairobi, reports Ecumenical News International.

"We will not be attending the Lambeth Conference. We have seen certain things in ways and faith that do not agree with how we received the Anglican Communion," Nzimbi told journalists at a media briefing on 10 July in Nairobi. Separately, however, the leader of the Anglican church in Hong Kong appealed to Anglicans to resolve their differences through dialogue and the traditional mechanisms of the Anglican Communion.
