InterVarsity combines business and faith

Some U.S. believers struggle to combine faith with their role in the business world. But they’re learning how at an InterVarsity Christian Fellowship conference this weekend, reports MNN.

Founded in 2006 by a former Yale professor, the annual Believers in Business (BiB) conference brings MBA students together to learn how to live out their faith in the marketplace. Over 200 business professionals are gathering today and tomorrow at the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City.

“MBA students by virtue of where they will be working will have significant impact on the world, one way or another,” notes Mark Washington, national coordinator for InterVarsity’s MBA Ministry.

“I would like to see communities of world changers develop for students after they graduate, because historically, the way change occurs is not through individuals but through communities.”

BiB speakers will touch on the theme, “Not Business As Usual,” showing participants how to glorify God through authenticity, community and personal transformation.

Today’s session of the Believers in Business conference is full, but there’s room for you tomorrow. Find details here.
