With hundreds of volunteers and staff serving Wycliffe Associates in dozens of countries, each with unique personal and professional financial requirements, our accounting team strategically manages the flow of cash and financial information to assure that it is in the right place at the right time. They provide critical support to our ministry team and transparent accountability to our financial partners.
Wycliffe Associates are recruiting two accountants to provide vital financial services for Bible translation teams in Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
These countries are high strategic priorities for Bible translation for the coming years, with more than 150 languages still without one verse of Scripture.
In both locations, the accountant will be working closely with national colleagues and mentoring them in accounting responsibilities.
Learning and complying with local accounting requirements is essential.
The position in Cameroon is located in the capital city of Yaoundé, and English is the working language. Any knowledge of French will be helpful in the local community.
The position in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is located in the northwestern city of Gemena, and French language competency is required.
Wycliffe Associates involves people in accelerating the work of Bible translation through their time, talents, and treasure. Because millions of people around the world are still waiting to read the Scriptures in the language of their heart, Wycliffe Associates is working as quickly as they can to translate every verse of the Bible into every tongue to change every heart. The organization partners with nationals, mother tongue translators, staff, volunteers, and supporters to direct and fund these efforts, as well as provide logistics, networking, and technical support. Through a growing global network, Wycliffe Associates is striving to overcome local limitations of time and resources to achieve the goal of beginning the translation of God’s Word in every remaining language that needs it by 2025.
