According to press release of The Sowers Ministry (TSM), which is a non-profit missions organization involved in evangelism, training and church planting, for the past month they have been reaching souls for Christ and in providing bibles for North Korea and China.
Neil Anderson is the founder of the TSM and serving to Christian leaders, said that their goal is to organize more outreaches, build churches, and mobilize pastors and leaders across Asia.
Sowers Ministry is actively involved in providing Bibles, sending local pastors and evangelists to rural towns and villages, and distributing Gospel tracts. He tells about two believers from China.
Harbin is a busy town in Northeast China. Yang H had a life of prosperity but her husband drank and gambled most of his life. Together, they were quickly losing large sums of money from their bank accounts. She shared this concern with her friend who was a Christian. After a conversation, Yang decided to learn more about the miracle power that works through the name of Jesus Christ. She read the story in Luke where Zacchaeus came to Christ. Her trust and faith became strong as she continued to read the Gospel. Being a communist party member, Sister Yang H had a life-changing experience when she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and she immediately began witnessing to anyone she could.
She then completed a training program for 6 months. The training center was located in a cave where water drips twenty-four hours a day, however, seventy people met there excited about their new found love for Christ and His calling on their lives. (continued...)
Sister H used to work as a government official, but now she is a fulltime evangelist. She continues to visit her former workplace and often she stands at the front of the government building witnessing and secretly handing out NT bibles or Gospel literature to all those who passed by. Her obedience has seen the Gospel save 233 precious souls in one month. With your giving, Sowers can send gospel workers like sister H to North China where the communist mentality remains strong.
HUNDREDS SAVED FROM GOSPEL WRITTEN ON TOILET PAPER
After receiving Jesus as Lord, brother Lee went to visit his younger brother who was in prison. Lee believed God could help their family and thus he wanted to share the Gospel with his brother. His younger brother was arrested for using a blank check he had found in order to pay off a debt he owed to his older brother. He had previously asked for a loan in order to get married. Brother Lee was glad to help but the younger brother felt a deep sense of obligation to pay back his brother. His actions landed him in prison and sentenced him to death.
Before Lee went to see his brother, he asked the Lord how to get the good news of the Word of God to his younger brother. Lee immediately got the idea to write portions of the Gospel onto toilet paper. Upon his arrival to the prison, Brother Lee handed over the toilet paper to his brother and urged him to accept Christ. Lee’s younger brother received Jesus into his heart and that same day his brother started witnessing to others in prison. Hundreds of prisoners came to know Christ. His brother and fellow believers prayed to God for mercy and the younger man’s death sentence eventually turned into a suspended sentence… something that is nearly impossible in China. House churches are growing fast all over China. Pray weekly for Lee’s brother’s release. Please pray for leaders and believers, such as Lee and his brother, as they face trials and persecution in the ministry.
In 2014, the purpose of The Sowers Ministry is to continue to pursue unreached areas of the world and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
