Members of the British Parliament visited New Life church
On May, 10 New Life church was visited by the members of the Conservative Party in the British Parliament Mark Pritchard and Bryan Binley, reports New Life church press-center.
They came to Belarus with a private visit to learn more about Belarus and the life of its citizens. One of the purposes of their trip was to meet New Life church’s pastor Slava Goncharenko and to see the building.
Mark Pritchard said in the interview to the press-center: «I am here today to support your pastor and your church. I stand for religious freedom, freedom of speech and freedom of conscience as a universal human right. People must have an opportunity to worship God freely and in the way they want to do it».
Bryan Binley noted that he had interest in international trade relations. «I believe God wants people to prosper and to raise their children in a stable environment. I believe there is a connection between trade and Christianity when good and honest trade glorifies God. I am delighted with the work you do as a church and pastor Slava does personally. You glorify God by contributing your mite into building prosperous and strong society».
Parliamentarians noted that in 2006 they kept up on the situation around New Life church’s building and the course of the fasting hunger-strike and didn’t loose interest to the current events around the church.
They wished the church members and visitors of the web-site to remember that God is faithful: «There will come a time when the expectations of His children will be rewarded». British Politicians also reminded that we have to pray for our enemies and those who persecute us.
