It has been a very productive time for our ministry team since May till December 2012, report Gospel India Ministry.
The “Couple Seminar” was held on 25th, 26th, and 28th April 2012. It was cheerful atmosphere of joy and celebration prevailed as all the participants sat together in the presence of the Lord to learn from God’s Word on “Building a Great Marriage”. Many couples attended the seminar and it brought them closer to each other and to God, and had an opportunity to renew their marriage vows.
The Youth Retreat was held on 27th- 28th April 2012. The Youth Alive team from New Life Assemblies of God Church reached out the youngsters through songs, skits, games and also through the sharing of personal testimony and the Word of God. Many youngsters gave accepted Christ as their personal Saviour.
The Summer Bible School was held from 7-16 May 2012. Students from different places participated actively to get to know God and make Him known. The Gospel was shared with people who had never had an opportunity to hear it in a more clear way, and the new church has been started in that region.
Two more Leaders Training Schools were organized from I7th - 19,thAugust 2012, and another one from 18th - 20th October 2012
The Children’s Retreat held on the 20th August 2012. It was truly a retreat of the children, by the children, for the children. More than 125 children attended the retreat. 75 children gave their lives to the LORD. Out of them, 15 children had heard about Jesus for the very first time in their life and accepted Him as their Lord and Saviour.
The Educational tour was held on 25th October 2012 when the children of Project Anupama - the Missionary Kids' Home and the staff and missionaries of Gospel India Ministries visited the historic Sewagram Ashram at Wardha. This Ashram has a significant place in the history of the Independence struggle of India.
The couple more youth camps and youth leadership camps were held at the different times. Many of youth had an opportunity to accept Jesus as their Saviour and Lord.
During the 85thAnniversary of the Ashwood Memorial Hospital the Gospel was shared to the Medical staff on 5thOctober 2012.
The opportunity to teach “Responsible Christian Stewardship” to a group of Pastors and Christian Leaders at the Haggai Institute seminar was held from 30th May - 3th June 2012. A youth camp was also organized at the same venue.
There were held various Leadership, Revival and Outreach meetings from July to August 2012, and Seeker’s Retreat on 5th September 2012.
And celebration of Church Anniversary with the believers from Gond people was held on 21th September 2012. The Church in this region is indeed growing fast, and many people are coming to know the Lord. An elder of the church has also come forward to donate a small piece of land for the construction of the church building there.
On the 22nd October 2012 were held the dedication of the second Sewing training Center for the Underprivileged Women. This project is known as Project ALPHA. The first project was organized for many poor and underprivileged young girls and women from the local churches as well as from the neighboring slums are equipped them to stand on their own. Project ALPHA is a blessing to these poor women who are now able to learn and earn, and along with supporting their families, they also help support the ministry of the local village church. Currently in these two centers there are around 30 young girls and women who are learning sewing and embroidery. The mission is planning to start another Project ALPHA in other mission fields.
In October there was a Dental Camp for the local believers as well as for the missionaries of GIM, and women’s meeting conducted by the sister from USA. In November there was a Bible distribution Program. Many people got Bibles and were grateful for it, but many of them still are waiting for the opportunity to have some.
Two conferences were held for the pastors and women missionaries. At the conference they had an opportunity to be encouraged to continue to serve God and reached others for His Kingdom.
