Planned Parenthood Discards “Pro - Choice” Lie

Planned Parenthood, the major abortion provider in the United States, informed a carefully selected media conference on 9th January that the Association was abandoning the label “pro-choice” As the leader of the pro – death movement in the United States it is expected that the abortion movement will follow suit.

This dramatic move is a further retreat by the pr-abortion movement that has been losing the battle for the minds and the hearts of the people since the notorious Roe Wade decision of the Supreme Court in the United States 40 years ago.

The label supports a culture of death with the false and dangerous term “a woman’s right to choose.” We do not have a right to kill another person. It is always wrong to kill the innocent. A woman has an absolute right not to get pregnant but when she is pregnant she does not have the right to kill her child in the womb. In the biblical book, Deuteronomy it says, “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life that your children may live.” As a society, we must do all we can to help women choose life for their children.

Planned Parenthood has realised that the mythical term “ pro-choice, a woman’s right to choose” is not resonating with the public who are increasingly recognising that it is just not true. We knew it was not true, they knew it was not true and now society at large knows that it is not true. It is a monstrous lie that has contributed to pain and suffering, for millions of women throughout the world and to the killing of innocent and defenceless unborn children. Never before in the history of mankind has such a blatant lie been the cause of such misery and destruction.

The slogan “a woman’s right to choose” was invented in 1969 by Dr Bernard Nathanson, a founder of the National Association for Repeal of Abortion Laws. He later had a conversion and actively defended the right to life of the unborn when he saw on an ultra sound screen an unborn child with its mouth open in a silent scream, struggling to stay alive in the midst of an abortion. Dr Nathanson later said that he always new that the label was a lie.

The historic move by Planned Parenthood is a victory for a culture of life over a culture of death.
