In an ongoing row about race during the campaign to seek a final Democratic Party candidate for November's elections, two national US church leaders have accused parts of the nation's media of distorting the ministries of the former pastor and congregation of the Chicago church to which presidential hopeful Senator Barrack Obama belongs, reports Ecumenical News International. At a 3 April press conference at Trinity United Church of Christ, the pastor of the church plus the leaders of two national bodies to which it belongs, also called for clergy around the nation to address the subject of race on Trinity Sunday, 18 May.
