The Global Church Launches Major Collaboration Between Denominations
Major collaboration between the world’s largest Christian denominations is the highlight of the Synergize 3! Pastors Conference January 17-19, 2011 in Orlando, Florida, where the sponsoring organization, Billion Soul, will also debut the world’s first solar-powered printing press, created to increase the ability to provide Bibles and resources throughout the world, it is said in the press release.
Billion Soul, under the leadership of more than 200 Cochairs, has been meeting biannually since 2002 and has become one of the premiere pastors conferences in the world, where presidents, general superintendents and overseers of the world’s denominations and fellowships, along with more than 1000 pastors, gather to share research, reports, recommendations and resources.
“Each year we move forward, and this year we will showcase a global solar-powered press, on which we will print the first books from Latin America, West Africa, India and United States and other resources, right on the premises while the conference convenes,” said James O. Davis Billion Soul cofounder and Cochair/Global Networking. “This demonstrates our philosophy that covering the world with the Gospel to complete the Great Commission is no longer about the West going to the Rest, but about the Best in the world going to the Rest with what is working today.”
“We are very excited about the break-through developments leading up to the Synergize Conference,” said Dr. Glenn Burris, overseer of the Foursquare Church International, who is cohosting a strategic Global Forum discussion with world leaders on the day prior to the conference.
In the past ten years, Billion Soul has gathered more than 45,000 leaders in face-to-face meetings in hubs throughout the world, and now has leaders involved that represent more than 400,000 churches worldwide.
“The investment in a pastor’s ministry that Billion Soul can make in just three short days is almost incalculable,” Nazarene Overseer Stan Toler said. “Whatever sacrifice it takes for a Church leader to attend, the take-away will be many times greater. We believe this conference will fill to the maximum this year with leaders eager to help complete Christ’s Great Commission.”
“The Southern Baptist Convention is focused and intently working toward the completion of the Great Commission,” said SBC President Bryan Wright. “I am looking forward to hearing the plans of other Christian agencies, to see how we can greatly accelerate soul-winning and church planting during the next decade.”
“We believe Christ gave us a ‘Great Commission’ to tell the entire world about Him,” states Rev. Elmer Towns, Cofounder of Liberty University. “Billion Soul is helping the Church to learn methods used worldwide that empower us to shorten the time needed to finish the Great Commission.”
Davis, Burris, Toler, Wright and Towns will be among the well-known speakers at the January event. Others included David Mohan, India; Eddy Leo, Indonesia; Suliasi Kurulo, Fiji; David Sobrepena, Philippines; all of whom pastor churches and networks of churches that number in the hundreds of thousands of members.
George Wood, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, stated, “The Synergize 3! Pastors Conference is for pastors and leaders, whose missional ambition is to listen to, learn from and to link with the Global Church that Christ has raised up in the 21st Century. I cannot think of a greater way to begin 2012, than to make plans to join us for this historic conference.”
At the time of this release, pastors and leaders from nearly all fifty states, more than fifty nations and seventy denominations will be represented at Synergize 3! Pastors Conference. This year’s gathering is expected to sell out. Registration for Synergize 3! is at www.Synergize.tv.
