The powerful Ukrainian Church celebrated its 18th anniversary
A holiday conference dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the foundation of the Salvation Church was held near Kiev, on September, 23-25, reports the Christian Telegraph in reference to the Salvation Church press center.
Evangelization is the core vision for this year, therefore the conference motto was “Go and teach all nations”. Two evangelistic services were held on the final conference day.
Speakers included the senior pastor of the Salvation Church Philip Savochka, Henry Madhava the senior Pastor of the Victory Church of Kiev, and Andrey Tishchenko, Bishop and Senior Pastor of New Generation Church in Pershotravensk, Central Ukraine.
Each of the three days of the conference had its own topic.
The first day was the grand opening of the conference and was held under the name “Go”. New deacons and pastors were ordained and four churches were blessed for the independent ministry on that day. Philip Savochka spoke about importance of the strengthening one’s calling and status in God. Sergey Shidlovski, Founder of the God Seekers Movement, congratulated the Church.
The second conference day was divided into three parts. The first part was held under the motto “Teach” and Philip Savochka spoke about leadership and discipleship. After that, the award presentation of the Church members for their faithfulness was held. The Church also congratulated Savochka and prayed for blessings to dwell upon him.
The Church hosted a free dinner for all participants that was held between the services.
The second part of the day was titled “All nations,” and Henry Madhava spoke about missionary work. A special feature of his massage was his own example as missionary and evangelist. Additionally, everyone congratulated the Church with its 18th anniversary.
The second day ended with the concert and presentation of a new “Every Day” worship album. The concert program included 100 participants.
An evangelistic service was held on the final day of the conference. A video was presented that included a testimony about a boy, who was cured of AIDS. Andrey Tishchenko prayed for people to be healed and delivered.
During the Sunday service Sophia Pavlovna, mother of the Philip Savochka, told her story about times of persecution and repression. The Church also prayed for blessings to be poured upon her.
Nearly 6,000 believers and guests took part in the conference altogether.
The Salvation Church is a traditional Slavic evangelical church, founded in 1993 by the ministry of Pastor Philip Savochka. Today, the church has more than 4,000 members and its own beautiful building. The Salvation Church carries out a lot of social work and supports Father’s House International Charity Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping homeless children.
