The right-defenders of Bulgaria write to the President of Belarus
The Bulgarian committee for defense of liberty, democracy and human rights in Belarus addressed a letter to the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, reports New Life church press-center. The copies of the letter were sent to the Belarusian Embassy in Bulgaria, the Commission on human rights of the United Nations Organization, to the European Parliament and other international organizations.
In the letter the leaders of the Committee for defense of liberty, democracy and human rights in Belarus speak in support of Pastor Slava Goncharenko and New Life church.
The Bulgarian right-defenders write that «no administrative dispute, even if it had some legal grounds cannot be resolved by putting pressure on private life of a person. Forcing pastor Slava Goncharenko and his family to leave his house is immoral. We demand that the government immediately reconsiders its actions against Slava Goncharenko and his family, as well as their actions against New Life Church».
To remind, a «Freedom n Belarus» picket by the Belarusian Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria on March, 18 was organized by the Bulgarian committee for defense of liberty, democracy and human rights in Belarus. Also on March, 17 there took place a press-conference: «Alarming situation in Belarus with human rights» held by the leaders of the committee.
The Bulgarian committee for defense of liberty, democracy and human rights in Belarus was established in March, 2008. The initiator of its foundation was George Bakalov, apostle and pastor of the Apostolic reformed church in Sofia, Bulgaria.
