Nestle joins faith group for launch of Rwanda water project

Faith leaders are urging African governments to promote partnerships with private enterprise and religious communities in activities such as the Interfaith Action for Peace in Africa's water project in Gatore in Rwanda's Eastern Province, reports Ecumenical News International. "The time has come for more African governments to follow Rwanda's example and to take the lead in creating conditions that encourage cooperation between government, private enterprise, religious communities and civil society," said the Rev. Ishmael Noko, general secretary of the Lutheran World Federation, who inaugurated the water project on 19 March.
