Pastor in Belarus received notices from the police
On March, 20th, three notices for pastor Slava Goncharenko came to the address of the New Life church, reports New Life church press-center.
In the first notice it was written that investigator V.Yakubovskiy is calling Slava Goncharenko to give the report as a witness in the prosecutor’s office of Frunzenskiy district of Minsk. Notice states that pastor has to show up on March, 15th. But since the notice was delivered by the postal service only on March, 20th, it is yet unknown on what case pastor Slava will have to report and the date the appointment will be moved to. According to the lawyer of the church Sergey Likanin, report of a witness is being heard if the criminal case is initiated.
Second notice came from the prosecutor’s office of Moskovskiy district of Minsk. On March, 24th, Slava Goncharenko has to meet again with the deputy prosecutor Dmitriy Zyrianov. Most likely the reason for the notice was the appeal to the prosecutor’s office of Moskovskiy district of the Energonadzor [Energy Monitoring] service. Representatives of this service were recently denied of entry into the building of the New Life church.
According to the third notice, on March, 24th Slava Goncharenko is called to the prosecutor’s office of Minsk to give explanations regarding the petition that was sent to the Constitutional Court of Republic of Belarus. This is the petition that was signed by more than 50,000 citizens of Republic of Belarus.
For the same case Sergey Lukanin, lawyer of the New Life church and coordinator of the Campaign For protection of the right to freedom of conscience is called to the prosecutor’s office of Minsk on March, 21st.
