Picket organised at Belarusian Embassy in Bulgaria

On March 18th, 2008 at 3 pm a «Freedom in Belarus» picket took place at the Republic of Belarus Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria, which was organized by Bulgarian committee for freedom, democracy and human rights defense in Belarus, reports New Life church press-center.

Fifty people participated in it. Protesters hold transparencies supporting the Pastor Slava Goncharenko and democracy in Belarus: «Europeans are for democracy in European Belarus», «Democracy in Belarus now».

Peaceful picket which was hold by Bulgarian citizens was organized in answer to information that Slava Goncharenko and his family were enforced by Minsk authorities to knock their house down.

As the New Life church press-center already announced, the Bulgarian committee for freedom, democracy and human rights defense in Belarus reported that they were to inform Bulgarian society about human rights violation in Belarus and proceeded with deep analysis of Bulgaria and Belarus relationships.

The Pastor Slava Goncharenko expressed his gratitude to Bulgarian Christians and citizens: «I am grateful to them for support. Well done. I am glad they understand the current situation in regard to our church and my family in particular».
