2009 Israel United Crusade - The power of God shakes Jerusalem

On September 6 and 7, 2009, the 2009 Israel United Crusade with Dr. Jaerock Lee (its official title is "2009 International Multi-cultural Festival in Jerusalem") was held under the auspice of Crystal Forum (The Association of Israeli pastors) established for the growth of Israeli churches and the union of pastors at ICC (International Convention Center) located in the center of Jerusalem, Israel, reports Manmin church press centre.

The festival was held under the theme "GOD IS GREAT" and attended by Israelis and people from 36 different countries around the world. On September 6, the first night of the crusade, Dr. Jaerock Lee preached about "God the Creator" and on the second night, he delivered a message titled "Why is Jesus our only Savior?" Following the message, Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed for the sick and many people were healed and came up on the altar to testify to their healing miracles.

The festival was broadcast live to 220 nations around the world in 8 different languages through 33 satellite broadcasters including GCN and DayStar of USA, TBN-Russia, Enlace, CNL of Kazakhstan, Digital Congo of DR Congo, Miracle TV of Canada, ZEE TV of India and Heaven TV7 of Finland.

On the second night of the festival, September 7, Dr. Frank Wright, the President of NRB said in his greeting message, "We have gathered to praise the living God and declare that today is a day of grace. There's no way that I could hide the feeling of joy to see many people being healed by faith after living in torment with diseases." Following his congratulatory message, Dr. Jaerock Lee delivered a message titled "Why Is Jesus Our Only Savior?" Not only those who attended the festival, but viewers who watched the crusade through TV and Internet were deeply impressed to see Dr. Jaerock Lee boldly proclaiming that only Jesus is our Savior.

After preaching the message, Dr. Jaerock Lee fervently prayed for the sick people. Very quickly, the inside of the International Convention Center became filled by the heat of the fiery works of the Holy Spirit. Most of the people seriously received prayer with faith. As soon as the prayer was finished, people who had received healing came out toward the stage. The crippled threw away canes and stood up from their wheelchairs, and there were people who regained sight and threw away glasses. They confessed on the altar that at the moment they received prayer they felt the fire of Holy Spirit working in their entire body, and their problems were solved.

The presider introduced the 30 year ministry of Dr. Jarock Lee who had led huge overseas crusades after he met God at the end of 7 years of suffering from diseases. Dr. Jaerock Lee, on the altar, expressed thanks to the Government of Israel and Municipality of Jerusalem. Then he started to preach about God, the one and only Creator, and His omnipotence. All the participants listened to the message intently and responded with 'Amen' and applause.

One unique thing happened during the crusade. It was the ministry of WCDN (World Christian Doctors Network), whose members checked the patients' conditions before and after the prayer and medically confirmed God's healing works. Mira, 63, was healed of headache and asthma and stood up from her wheelchair. And Hasse, 48, was set free from the pain of uterine cancer. And Elbikia, 52, had as many as 11 diseases such as arthritis and female disorders and was suffering severe pain from them. But all the pain disappeared while receiving the prayer. Elisabeth, 69, had to wear glasses resulting from diabetes beginning 3 years ago. She rejoiced saying that she felt her eyes getting better at the moment she received the prayer and could see well without glasses.

World renowned Christian journalists couldn't hide their amazement while witnessing this historical scene where Jesus Christ was proclaimed as the Savior in Israel, the original birthplace of the gospel. Rev. Igor Nikitin, Chairman of the Association of Christian Churches in Russia and President of TBN-Russia said in his interview, "People of many backgrounds, including church leaders, political and business leaders who came from all over the world shared the grace that changed their life through this trip, and this was the greatest work of God's power that they've ever experienced. These miracles that happened in Jerusalem impressed not only people here, but in countries all around the world."

There was a booth adjacent to the Convention Center where Dr. Lee's books were available for purchase; books including 'Awaken Israel,' 'The Message of the Cross,' 'The Measure of Faith,' 'Heaven I & II' and 'Hell.' Among these books, Hell was sold in the greatest number. Also, Life of Obedience and Life of Disobedience and 'God the Healer' gained popularity as well.

The Work of the Holy Spirit Manifested Transcending Space and Time

The two-night festival in Israel was broadcast to about 220 countries in the world, and the testimonies from viewers who experienced healing through television still continue to arrive to this day. The power of God continues to work, transcending space and time.

Norvano, 40, was in Kazakhstan attending the crusade through CNL TV of Kazakhstan. Via phone, he notified his acquaintance who was at the Convention Center that he was able to begin moving his leg, which he couldn't move for a week.

In India, many people attended the crusade via Arul Vaakku GCN TV and Salvation TV that broadcast to the States of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. And 6 churches, including Chennai Manmin Church, attended the crusade via television. Missionary Pastor Joseph Han said, "The testimonies from people who attended the crusade on screen are still pouring in, and the crusade has been dubbed in Hindi for rebroadcasting through ZEE TV." Rachel Kaminer of New York of USA recovered her hearing while watching the crusade. She threw away the hearing aids that she had been wearing since her childhood. Raksmirai, 55, of Nepal Manmin Mission Center was healed of kidney stones, Miya Gajurel, 49, was healed of hemorrhoids, and Sanji Tamajuhee, 2, was healed of paralysis of her right hand and legs.

Not only those overseas, but also those in Korea also experienced healing that transcended space and time. Deaconess Suhee Lim received healing of lumbago, Deaconess Youngok Lee was healed of eczema, and Senior Deaconess Kwangok Hwang was healed of the pain in her knee. They all testified to their healing and glorified God.

And at the crusade, Dr. Jaerock Lee asked God to pour rain down on Israel, which was running short of water in its dry season. And Pastor Daniel Rozen of Israel wrote in his letter, "On Tuesday, the day after the festival, rain was coming down in central and northern Israel. In Israel, rain in September is rare. Even more surprisingly, a week later, on my way to Tel Aviv from Jerusalem, rain poured down like flood. It was just as Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed. This rain is the evidence that God is with us."

This 2009 Israel United Crusade–2009 International Multi-cultural Festival in Jerusalem was hosted by Crystal Forum Association, consisting of Israeli pastors. The Crystal Forum invited Dr. Jaerock Lee as the speaker for the festival and it was held under the support of Israeli Government and the Municipality of Jerusalem. It was a miraculous thing that Israeli Christians, who were persecuted in Israel, gathered their strength and held a big Christian event. This is evidence that the Israeli church is in revival and getting stronger, through Dr. Jaerock Lee's 12 visits to Israel, lasting 777 days in total, from July 23, 2007 through September 7, 2009.

On top of that, it is an exceptionally remarkable case that a Christian event was held at ICC (International Convention Center), which is the biggest performance hall in Israel where international events take place.

Media Organizations Showing Great Interest

World-renowned media groups such as Reuters and AFP, famous daily newspapers including The Guardian of UK and The Korea Herald of South Korea, and inland and overseas Christian media including ANS (ASSIST News Service), The USA Religious News, The Christian Newswire, The Gidok News, and The Christian Press covered the crusade.

The Christian Telegraph, one of the most famous Christian papers in Ukraine, reported, "The Cross of Jesus Christ was proclaimed to the remotest part of the earth, Israel." And The Jerusalem Post wrote, "Those who couldn't hear came to hear clearly, the crippled came to walk without a cane or wheel chair, and a woman shouted with joy after being healed of uterine cancer. And there was also one that was cured of tuberculosis."

The two-night festival was broadcast to 220 nations through 33 television stations. And before the festival, Elder Johnny Kim, Director of Manmin TV, appeared on Channel 1, the state-owned television network of Israel, and introduced the festival.

Awakening Israel with the Power of God

Israel is the land where Jesus was born, and God's Elect. But they have not acknowledged Jesus Christ as the Savior and are still waiting for the Messiah. Dr. Jaerock Lee and his mission team went to Israel and held the 2009 Israel United Crusade to awaken them from this spiritual slumber for their Messiah. The crusade ended up a great success and vivid and emotional moments are carried here: very high-class Christian performance and the audience's applause, proclamation of the word of truth and cheering attendees, testifying to many healing works, attention of many world-famous media.

/ The Sermon Given at the 2009 Israel United Crusade/ Why Is Jesus Our Only Savior?

Israel is God's Elect. He Himself chose Israel and has been leading His people to this day (Deuteronomy 4:31). They have believed in the One and Only Deity God and are awaiting the fulfillment of His promise of salvation. But many people around the world believe in Jesus Christ, who was born into this world 2000 years ago, as their Savior. Then let's think about this for a moment.

God formed Adam and Eve and He commanded Adam saying, "But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die" (Genesis 2:17). But Adam and his wife Eve were tempted by the serpent and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Through this incident sin entered into mankind, and because of this, Adam had to experience death. Here the term "death" refers not only to the physical death of his body, but also to his spiritual death which is falling into Hell. Because Jesus met the qualifications of the Savior, He could redeem mankind from their sins. Then, what are these qualifications?

The first qualification for the Savior is that the person must be a man.

Because sin entered through the first man 'Adam,' the redemption from sins must also be through a man (1 Corinthians 15:21). Thus, Jesus came into the world in human form to obtain eternal redemption for all men once and for all (Heb 7:27, 9:12).

The second qualification for the Savior is that the person must not be a descendant of Adam.

Adam's descendants are all sinners. A sinner cannot redeem other sinners from their sins. Because Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit before Mary was betrothed to Joseph, He was born without any original sin inherited from a man or his forefathers. Jesus simply borrowed the womb of the Virgin Mary.

The third qualification for the Savior is that the person must have the power to save mankind from their sins.

In the spiritual realm, having no sin is power. Jesus was not a descendent of Adam, so He had no original sin. And while growing up, He lived only according to God's word. Therefore, He never had any self-committed sins either (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22).

The fourth qualification for the Savior is that the person must have love.

Jesus originally existed in the form of God in the beginning, and He is the Creator and Governor of the universe and everything in it. For such a holy Person to be able to take the terrible penalty of crucifixion on behalf of sinners, bearing all the humiliation, afflictions, and scorn duly deserving of sinners, shows that He had love. He could never have done all this if He did not have love. In order to redeem us from the curse of the Law (Romans 6:23), Jesus had to take upon Himself the curse and be hung on a tree for us as written in the Law (Galatians 3:13). For there is forgiveness only through the shedding of the blood which is identified with its life (Leviticus 17:14; Hebrews 9:22), Jesus shed His blood on our behalf and we were forgiven of our sins. The enemy devil provoked wicked people in order to kill Jesus, who was sinless. But, Jesus overcame the power of death and resurrected, because He had no sin at all. So the enemy devil had violated the spiritual Law that states, "The wages of sin is death," because he instigated the killing of Jesus, who was sinless. As a result, the devil has to set free from the power of death all those who would accept Jesus as their Savior (Romans 5:18). Thus, those who have become one with the Lord Jesus are justified and gain eternal life through the faith in Him. This is the providence of salvation embedded in the cross (1 Corinthians 2:7).
