The Emergency Services visited New Life Church in Belarus

In the morning of September 7 there appeared a service vehicle from The Emergency Services Ministry at the territory of New Life Church. Head of Moscow district department Vladimir Kazachyok arrived with the intention to meet with pastor Vyacheslav Goncharenko. Since the pastor was not there at that moment, an agreement was reached that an appointment would take place at 4 p.m. on the same day at their Moscow district office at 77, Dzerzhinsky Avenue, reports New Life church Information Center.

At the meeting Vladimir Kazachyok inquired about fire safety measures taken in the New Life Church building; he also suggested “commencing talks” that would allow to resolve the deadlock whereby The Emergency Services representatives cannot enter the building for inspection.

Pastor Vyacheslav Goncharenko thanked the Chief Fire Inspector for his concern in the believers’ problems and expressed interest in the cooperation with The Emergency Services to guarantee maximal security for the church goers. The pastor also informed the authorities about the fire safety measures being already carried out.

In the nearest future it is planned to forward a letter to The Emergency Services Ministry which will contain a detailed description of the fire safety condition of the building.

It was decided that the question of a possible inspection is to be reverted to at a later time.
