Jesus V8 Ute off and running in Sydney, Australia
The Jesus V8 Ute took to the track again at Eastern Creek International Raceway, Sydney over the weekend of 7th to 9th March, 2008, witnessing for the Lord through its messages emblazoned on all sides. “Jesus. All about life” left no one in doubt as to what the driver, Andrew Fisher and his team believed, reports Ramon Williams, special for ASSIST News Service.
Drew commented: “It was fantastic to have Mike, Owen and Brett up from Tasmania to help out over the weekend, as well as Steve Peach's flying visit for the day to attend the Bible Society's function on Saturday and to have my own family present, Annmarie, Harrison and Lilly.”
The witnessing started as soon as people parked their cars. In the parking lot was the replica “Jesus. All about life” utility vehicle, recently produced for appearances at schools, churches and outreach events.
In the Corporate Box, organized by Bible Society NSW, Marketing Manager Mark Lees and Missions Manager Chris Melville, welcomed the friends and supporters who had gathered to meet and listen to Andrew Fisher share his aims and testimony.

Andrew told of being named “Rookie of the Year” for 2007, even though he was “over 40”, but also shared how his witness as a Christian has been accepted within the V8Ute racing program.
Promotions Co-ordinator Steve Peach showed the T-shirts, team caps, shirts and posters available to help raise support for this project. A special edition of Luke’s Gospel (CEV) with a photo of the Jesus Ute on the cover and Andrew’s testimony inside, published by Bible Society NSW, was given to those present.
The special finance project 300/600 Club was explained and the need for tax deductible donations necessary to keep this project running.
It was a solid weekend for the Jesus Racing Team. As a testament to his consistency, Andrew actually finished the weekend in 7th place and now stands at 5th in the championship with only 7 points between Andrew and 2nd position.
The next racing event is now not until the second weekend in May at Barbagello in Western Australia, but Andrew is busy with commitments with the Jesus racing events at Bathurst (NSW), Toowoomba and Brisbane (both in Queensland) over the next few weeks.
