Quinta and Operation Mobilisation UK celebrate 25 years
Over the past 25 years, Centre Ministries and Operation Mobilisation UK (OM) have put Shropshire’s Quinta site firmly on the local, national and international stage. In 1985, both organisations established presences in the extensive grounds, beginning a partnership that continues to this day, reports http://www.uk.om.org/a in its press release. Over the last two and half decades Centre Ministries (formerly Cloverley Hall) has hosted many Christian groups for onsite retreats while the team at the OM UK headquarters has sent thousands of volunteers into mission service.
A special weekend celebration from Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th September has been organised to acknowledge the 25 years that the two organisations have served side-by-side. Partners and supporters of both OM and Centre Ministries are being warmly invited to attend for either the full weekend or a single day. A range of family-oriented activities have been planned for each of the days, including tours of Quinta Hall and the OM UK headquarters, archery sessions, nature trails through the wooded grounds, informative presentations and more.
Specific highlights of the programme include receptions for local dignitaries and residents of nearby Weston Rhyn village on Friday. A breakfast for pastors and church leaders has been organised from 8am on the Saturday morning, with OM International Co-ordinator Peter Maiden confirmed as the speaker. On Sunday morning, congregations from the area are uniting on the grounds for a combined worship service.
