Christian retreat was held in S. Korea by the church Manmin
As we have reported earlier a summer retreat was held in South Korea by the church Manmin, where Dr. Jae Rock Lee is the senior pastor, Christian Telegraph reports. The services were held in the first days of August in mountains on one of the biggest open fields of the country. Members of the Manmin church, pastors and missionaries from other countries came to the retreat. There were more than five thousand people on each service.
At the last day of the retreat after the performance of the worship team and some dance groups, among which there was a group from Japan, Pastor Heejin Lee, President of Performing Arts Committee, and assistant pastor to Dr. Jaerock Lee's prophetic ministry preached. She spoke about the importance of deep and spiritual relationship with God, of the need for Christians to leave fleshly thoughts and actions and strive to live according to the Lord’s will. “During a war one of the strategies that commanders use is to try and sow distrust to the commanders among the soldiers and spread rumours,” she said. “Because if soldiers don’t trust their generals, they will lose the war. Today there are similar things happening in churches: members of a church don’t trust their pastors and leaders, pastors do not trust each other. Because of this Christians sometimes lose their battles. This is the work of the devil. But we should be opened to the Spirit of God and trust each other.”
After the sermon pastor Heejin Lee came of the stage to pray for missionaries and prophecy over them. And pastor Heesun Lee, Guidance Teacher of Nationwide Men's Mission and Women's Mission continued the service. In her sermon she said that there was nothing impossible for God. She also spoke about the miracles of Jesus that were happening during the summer retreats. Pastor Heesun Lee also thanked God for the good weather that remained great during the whole time of the retreat despite the fact that it was raining for the whole time in other parts of the country.
The service ended with worship. There were many special effects shown during the time of worship and a beautiful firework concluded the meeting.
“There was an incredible atmosphere of Christian unity and we didn’t want to leave, even though the service ended quite late at night,” said the guests. “We have never seen such fireworks on the main squares of our country and here, in Korea, the church has done it with its own effort. More to that, we were just shocked to hear that the whole retreat was organised by regular church members, who gave their own money to do it. It is not surprising that with such attitude we see a serious revival in Korea.”
