”We want to remind Uzbekistan of the Universal Declaration of Human rights that this country was obligated* *to respect”, - the pastor and lawyer Scott Lively said.
”It is very sad, when at the time of freedom for all people in the world, Christians in Uzbekistan are pursued for their faith, - pastor Peter Novik is revolted. - We are at one with our brothers and sisters and have come to show all wrongdoings of this country and also to uplift a prayer before the Lord for the future of Uzbekistan”.
In turn, blogger Vlad Kusakin has noted the following: “We wish to help the government of Uzbekistan to understand that destruction of the church in the country is a way to nowhere. Different countries, including former USSR, went through the same way and the end was very sad. Why Uzbekistan is repeating the same mistake that was practiced before their own eyes just twenty 25-30 years ago?”
It is necessary to mention that human rights organizations worldwide reported about monstrous infringements of the rights of believers by the government of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is also among the top ten countries on the Open Doors World Watch List.
